Yale Used Forklifts Nova Scotia

Yale Used Forklifts Nova Scotia

For anyone determine whether to buy used or brand new forklift, it is a very big decision when confronted with the purchasing cycle. The best thing to do is to know the application requirements for the lift truck, when trying to decide between the two options. For example, figure out the kind of machine which is required, how long you intend to keep it and the number of hours per year or per week you will use it.

Higher priced forklifts will normally hold its value over time. It is good to remember that an inexpensive new forklift may not have the overall reliability, ability or value of a second-hand unit of a higher priced type.

When considering a purchase of a new or used lift truck, there are 3 aspects which you should take heed of: utilization, duty cycle and seasonality. If you are thinking of using your lift truck for 4 or more hours a day, it is recommended that you buy a brand new unit, especially if you would have a high-duty cycle. A high-duty cycle means moving many loads per hour which are near or at the capacity truck.

If you only need your lift truck for approximately 4 hours per day or on an irregular basis, an inexpensive brand new model or used forklift might be optimal. Several of the newer models are available at lower costs which are manufactured for lower-duty cycles. Additionally, if you think that you will expect to utilize the forklift only during specific times of year on a seasonal basis, then a used lift truck or a rental program might best option available and could potentially save you a lot of money.

It is important to know whether the machine will be in constant use. This will mean knowing the amount of uptime and dependability needed for your particular application.
