The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during industrial and construction applications. They are also recognized for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by traditional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing both efficiency and production.
