When it comes to the manufacturing and warehousing industries, the lift truck application all around the globe has continued to grow. The lift truck is a motorized truck made specially for lifting and transporting items. The machinery has slowly evolved and nowadays there are a lot of modern designs for lifting and moving objects. In the past decades, the machinery has really grown and the designs have changed so there are numerous modern designs and a variety of trucks to meet each specific application. Loads are capable of reaching and lifting to greater heights than ever before.

Lift truck models are available in a wide variety of different power types like: gasoline, diesel, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP models. The load capacities of these units vary significantly as there are many manufacturers building and designing them. Like for example, some models are able to reach a height of over 3000 mm or over 10,000 kg.

The forklift truck features comprise mast and axles, an overhead guard, the counterweight, and the frame of the truck to which the base of the power source and all aforementioned items are connected. On the rear side there is a counterweight attached to the truck. This specific counterweight counterbalances the cargo that is being lifted in order to keep the machinery stable.

The operator sits inside a cab and uses the controls to dictate the equipment's movements. The overhead is one more feature, which is a metal roof in order to protect the operator from falling objects. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the frame and the mast. These tilts turn the mast in order to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly which raises and lowers the load with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

There are many warehouses or businesses in the manufacturing fields which utilize lift trucks for lifting and transportation every day. These days, there are a lot of different brand new and second-hand lift trucks offered in the market at competitive prices. Those who rely on occasional lifting and transportation can utilize rental lift trucks as they are available too.
