Jungheinrich Narrow Aisle Forklifts Nova Scotia

The following add-ons are very helpful for narrow aisle forklifts:
Side shift: Side shift is an option which allows the movement of the load laterally without having to move the model. This enables loads to be accurately positioned.

Tilt mast: The tilt mast option allows the forks to shift backwards and forwards. This is recommended in situations where loads aren't completely level. To be able to gain more stability when transporting a loaded truck, the mast can be tilted backwards.

Extendable forks: Extendable forks help the reach of a forklift to allow for the stacking of pallets one in front of the other. This is referred to as double deep loading.

Operator platforms: Operator platforms enable some NA lift trucks to raise and lower the operator while the forks are being lowered or raised. This offers optimum control and visibility while handling loads at heights of 6 m to 9 m.

Lift Truck on a Ramp
Forklift drivers must be properly taught on the equipment. They must be assessed and qualified or certified. It is very vital for anyone operating a forklift to be very educated regarding safety concerns and rules. Operators need to understand how to adjust on uneven surfaces or in cases where the load weight changes the center of gravity. Safety measures cover the safe operation of a forklift on a ramp, which is a frequent happening as the driver will normally need to drive up and down ramps to be able to load and unload containers.

Tips for Using a Forklift on a Ramp
1 When approaching and driving up and down the ramp, drive slowly. The possibility of mishaps is increased while driving fast since this could upset the machine's center of gravity.
2 Drive the lift truck in reverse when moving up an incline on a ramp while not carrying a load.
3 While moving down an incline on a ramp with no load, drive forward.
4 Tilt the forks slightly back to shift the center of the load to the machine's front, when moving up or down a ramp while carrying a load.
5 Drive forward up a ramp while carrying a load in order to make the load more steady.
