Potain Cranes Nova Scotia

Potain Cranes Nova Scotia

The company Potain was established in La Clayette, France in 1928. Since that time, the company has grown into a leading producer of cranes. The company is responsible for more than 100,000 cranes in operation around the globe. Currently, the company makes more than 60 models from different production facilities inside China, France, Italy, Portugal and Germany. The company represents many different product ranges utilized for a variety of applications. These equipments are sold through an international Manitowoc dealer network.

The family of Potain cranes are divided into different tower crane families. The smallest cranes produced by Potain are the self-erecting cranes. These cranes range from 1 ton to 7.98 ton capacity. The next size up is the top-slewing cranes that are both higher and larger. These cranes range from 7.98 to 64 tons. In addition, these are the largest special application cranes that are custom-designed. These units provide a reach capacity of 160 tons.

The company's top innovations include LLC range of hoists, the Dialog control system and the Vision Cab. The company's growing reputation has expanded their appeal with different models. Potain cranes are normally found on traditional construction sites, power stations, bridge building projects, shipbuilding yards and ship-building projects.

Two of Manitowac's biggest facilities are based within the United States. Their manufacturing facility is based within Wisconsin. In this state, both crawler cranes and the tower crane parts are constructed within the state of Pennsylvania in the Shady Grove facility. Here boom trucks and mobile cranes are built. Regional offices are located within Mexico and in Brazil. As well, the extensive dealer network found all over Nova Scotia and the United States provides support and coverage unrivalled by any other crane manufacturer.

Manitowoc has dominated the lifting market within North America for more than 50 years. They have built their solid reputation with a combination of outstanding support and service and quality products. The well-known names of Grove, National Crane and Manitowoc have been top members of their market sectors in Nova Scotia, South and Latin America and the United States.
