Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to lift the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks can not move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would normally use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to raise staff. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a chain or strap that is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
