End Control Forklifts
AC stand-up end control forklift trucks are popular in the material handling business for their extreme flexibility. These machinery have superior performance characteristics that are somewhat comparable to sit-down electric forklift models.
Ideally, these forklift truck units are suitable for warehousing operation environments which have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are normally less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These machines are an excellent alternative for applications which require frequent on and off access, because their stand-up design is an excellent feature.
The reach truck is a loading device used by various companies that maintain a storage facility involving the arrangement of finished products on pallets and materials that are stored or stacked into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck provides simple and safe retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also a great alternative for individuals who prefer to store pallets of products they do not require yet in a safe and efficient way.
All basic reach truck models would have an out-rigging mechanism secured to the front of the machine. Telescoping forks are mounted to the out-rigging and can move down and up. The blades also have a hydraulic setup which allows the driver to lift the load and reposition it over the out-riggers. This design not just offers a lot more balance to the overall load, but makes it really easy for the reach truck to maneuver between the storage shelves into narrow aisles.
Once the selected shelf has been identified, the hydraulic tines swing into action and lower the pallet into the shelving unit, helping to slide the load into position. Normally, a reach truck would easily fit into an aisle that is less than 10 feet wide with no trouble, as long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
