Sellick Forklifts Nova Scotia
Following a lengthy connection with a Ford Tractor dealer, Walter Sellick began to build his very own business by transforming a tractor that was supplied by Ford Tractor. He transformed it into a 6000 pound lift truck to be used outdoors. What is currently regarded as the turn-around tractor series consists of a mast and a counterweight design and basic sub-frame.
Heavy duty lifts have evolved in both their design and construction. An essential one piece frame idea was introduced to all models of Sellick lift trucks since 1975. The standard Ford Tractor power train became retrained as the basic power module for most units. The market was for Sellick straight mast rough terrain forklifts were well established. The new design combined with the state of the art technology paved the way to vastly increased sales in the beginning of the 1980s.
A new component designed series was introduced in the year 1987. This series featured Continental, Ford and Perkins engine options and was equipped with shift-on-the-go transmissions. Moreover, the low profile SD Series and the SG Series along with the See Thru roller masts became available in the market. The introduction of the 12,000 pound SD Series during the latter part of the 1990s together with the optional fully automatic Power-shift transmission showcased the new millennium's technology.
In the year 1995, the corporation produced the TMF-55 Truck Mounted Forklift, which features a load capacity of 5,500 pounds. This model is powered by a choice of Deutz or Perkins diesel engine. This specific design really lessens turn-around time to a minimum and greatly maximizes the complete delivery system-trailer, driver and truck. The TMF-55 simply and easily loads itself on the back of a trailer or a truck. This particular design saves huge cargo space and eliminates the need for towing a trailer.
Sellick Equipment Limited became the sole distributer of the JCB Teletruck in North America in 2002. This flexible reach industrial forklift helps to fill out the material handling products selection. It offers a unique forward reach and supreme versatility.
Sellick introduced the ergonomically friendly S Series Forklift during 2004. This model had a big emphasis on operator safety and comfort. The company has launched a new era of manufacturing and top of the line forklift design.
